Myself
I am a student of economics, politics, and a learner. Along with it I am a strong believer in God and it is my basis of strong altruism to fellow creatures. Its in that sense of altruism that I write these entries, in the sense that what ever I have learnt, I might help with it the cause of development, justice, love and cohesion in our society.
My economic and political approaches are chiefly people centered. I don’t view economic development as increase in production of inanimate objects.
Among my favorite writers are Amartya Sen, Muhammad Yunus, Jeffrey Sachs, Joseph Stiglitz, Michael Chossudovsky, Naomi Klein, Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy and many others, naming all of whom would be painstaking task here.

I like your approach. I have a feeling that more & more use of higher mathematics in Economics is not quite congruent with our age old concept that it is an in-exact science. It is this in-exactness that brings it close to the people. I remember the Headline of The Telegraph when Amartya Sen got the Nobel-” Economics back to the basics; Amartya Sen gets the Nobel”. Production of luxury items & prediction of Share Market can not be the goal of Social science.
